Right-click dialing, controlled by Call Manager Edge

The extension is a browser helper. It does not place calls by itself. It sends the user-selected phone number to an already-open and logged-in Call Manager Edge session, where the approved call workflow is handled.

01

Select a phone number

The user selects a phone number on a webpage and chooses Call with Active Call Manager from the right-click menu.

02

Use the open Edge session

The extension finds the user’s logged-in Call Manager Edge tenant tab, such as https://clientname.activecallmanager.com.

03

Let Edge handle the call

Call Manager Edge applies the configured user account, assigned extension, permissions, availability checks and calling workflow.

Only the data needed for the dialing action

The extension acts only when the user chooses the right-click call action. It does not continuously scan webpages for phone numbers.

  • 1Selected phone numberThe phone number selected by the user on the webpage.
  • 2Browser tab contextThe tab where the user selected the number, only as needed to show a login message if Call Manager Edge is not open.
  • 3Call Manager Edge tenant tabThe open logged-in Call Manager Edge tenant tab used to route the selected number to the correct portal session.
